BONDtraining dryland training programs are designed to build a better cycling athlete. It takes aim at improving participants’ strength, resilience, focus, mobility, endurance and power.

DID YOU KNOW

- A more fit rider has a bigger window of time in each ride to improve their skill?

- The less fit rider will tire out sooner and as a result has a smaller window of quality time in each ride to acquire and improve their skills.

- A fitter, stronger rider not only has improved control but is also less prone to injury compared to a less fit, equally skilled rider?

- With appropriate programming individuals can significantly improve their power output, without gaining muscle mass, resulting in an improved watts per kilogram(W/Kg) - an important indicator of performance for cyclists?

The MTBdryland winter programs through a focused commitment of two hours per week, will help you reach new levels in your riding. Let’s ‘level up’ YOU in preparation for your best season of riding. The MTBdryland Summer program offers 1x or 2x per week options that are designed to enhance your peak riding season. Many of our clients continue through the summer during their competition/performance training phase, or simply as part of a maintenance training plan.

The HYBRID program is where the MTBdryland program meets the PUMPtrack and combines the fun and physical exertion of intervals on the indoor pump track & jump lines matched with off-bike segments to build cardio, strength, core, power, mobility & resilience. Training is offered at the North Shore Bike Park offered monthly through the summer and in 6 week training phases throughout the Winter, with options for 1x or 2x per week.

SUMMER TRAINING

  • The Summer edition offers a fantastic opportunity to come and try out the gym training sessions, in advance of a larger 6-month Winter program commitment.
  • The Summer edition is designed to enhance rather than replace the time you are spending riding.
  • Summer Sessions are offered as a “maintenance” program during your peak ride/race season to support and balance with increased time on the bike
  • Summer training can be booked monthly, with both 1x & 2x a week options
  • Drop in is offered subject to availability month to month.

WINTER TRAINING

  • The Winter Edition is a 6-month investment in your training, and we ask that you sign up and commit to a single time-slot, 2x/ week every Tuesday and Thursday from November to April.
  • The program is designed to achieve maximum results while allowing plenty of time and energy for you to continue your other winter activities-riding, skiing etc.

  • Let’s spend this winter leveling up YOU for your best season of riding in 2026

PLEASE NOTE If you are NEW to BONDtraining and interested in the Winter program - we recommend registering for Summer Programming, Summer program participants will be added to Priority 2 registration for Winter Programming.

  • Priority 1 = ReRegistration (Same Timeslot)
  • Priority 2 = Re-Registration (Alternate Timeslot) AND BONDtraining Existing Client Registration.

HYBRID combines the fun and physical exertion of intervals training, matched with off-bike segments to build cardio, strength, core, power, mobility & resilience.

Each 60-minute training session will involve coach-led, progressive drills and intervals focused on skill development and conditioning, along with a portion of the training session spent off the bike and focused on strength, core and mobility exercises.

These fast-paced, guided sessions on the bike and the corresponding exercises off the bike will positively affect many aspects of your riding. Riders of all levels are surprised at how easily their Heart Rate ramps up and how much speed and control they can acquire as they get out of the saddle, pump, and push their bike through the terrain.

The program encourages the rider to take on the role of a pilot commanding their Rocketship rather than being a passenger on a bus. These sessions will allow participants to refine their piloting skills and improve their riding efficiency, stamina, strength and power,

HYBRID sessions provide participants with a controlled environment and feedback for a “wax on wax off” approach to skill development and skill refinement, a time to learn new skills, AND fine tune your skills foundation, correcting bad habits so that you are a stronger, faster and more confident rider.

Thursday Night Race Nights: A New Way to Ride Together

As part of the Summer 2025 HYBRID experience, we’re introducing optional monthly DJ/MTB race nights in partnership with North Shore BMX—a fun, supportive way to test your skills, ride with purpose, and connect with the local cycling community.

**Here’s how it works:

  • What: DJ/MTB Class Races at North Shore BMX
  • When: Monthly on Thursday nights (May 29, Jun 26, Jul 24, Aug 21, Sept 25)
  • Who: Open to all HYBRID participants + their families

Why join?

  • It’s a chance to put your training to the test—casually or competitively.
  • It introduces you and your family to the vibrant NSBMX community.
  • It’s fun—race, hang out, and cheer each other on.
  • Kids welcome! Make it a family night on bikes.
  • Your Race entry on these dates is included within your HYBRID registration for that month.

What You’ll Need:

  • For your first race a Temporary USABMX license is available.
  • All returning racers will need a USA BMX license (one-time annual fee; available online or onsite). We’ll help guide you through registration if it’s your first time.
