In this coed class your 8-10year old will be engaged in a wide range of fitness games and exercises that help them learn how FITNESS is FUN.
This class offers a new entry pathway to our Gym programming. Participants joining our JuniorFIT classes can when ready progress to our Strength Mobility program which builds the foundations for our Strength & Conditioning program.
We are excited to welcome you child to these classes and helping them build strong foundations for long term fitness.

ACTIV8TEs EMPOWHER Peer Mentorship programs are designed to provide (female identifying) peer athletes with a space to meet (either in person or virtually) to share experiences, learn, review and discuss development tools, strategies, share challenges and successes, seek & similarly provide guidance within the group for ongoing athletic & academic development and performance, supporting both short and long term mental & physical health & wellness.
THE FOCUS, supporting and giving athletes the tools to build and maintain a framework for healthy (athletic) development, through a support network of peer to peer mentors & coaches.
IN PERSON Clinics

In person EMPOWHER sessions offer mentor group athletes an initial &/or periodic, opportunity to connect with their Peer Mentor coaches, and other peer athletes.

In person sessions are scheduled prior to each new Virtual Session series, as an Intro to the programs framework and development content, and as an ice breaker to meet mentors and other mentees.

In person sessions are offered on Pro-D Days, and periodically throughout the year, longside other Peer Mentorship Group social events/activities & Athletic Development programming.

In person sessions are offered for open registration, but can be booked privately by groups/teams.

Peer mentorship groups will include athletes who are similar in age, and gender (Male identifying & co-ed Peer Mentorship programming coming soon)

Peer mentorship program sessions may be scheduled for a sport specific focus with a specific Peer Mentor coach, or group of coaches, for a general “sports” development focus.
VIRTUAL Peer Group Sessions

Virtual EMPOWHER peer mentorship sessions are designed to provide a neutral platform for athletes, to meet regularly providing a safe space to seek guidance, or learn skills and strategies that support both mental and physical health & wellness.

EMPOWHER Session Series include a sessions focus topic, and incorporate an activity within the session.

This program combines Speed Agility Quickness “SAQ” training with strength & conditioning, plyometrics circuits, and focuses on form to build faster stronger athletes.
The series includes 1st & last session testing to help athletes measure individual progress, and is designed for multi sport athletes.

ACTIV8TE Strength & Mobility programs are designed to introduce athletes to the gym training environment, age appropriate body weight and mobility work, making strength training safe and accessible for multi-sport athletes of all levels, and building awareness in the importance of a building a balanced training plan
Whether training for a specific sport or for kids who simply want to look and feel better, get and stay active, this class focuses on proactive muscle maintenance, the importance of overall flexibility, for general athletic health and injury prevention which can help put them on a lifetime path to better health and fitness.
Our gym programs are provided in a small group training environment which ensures EVERY athlete feels supported, receives individual instruction and learns to train safely and feels empowered to experience success within a gym environment.
Training activity incorporates exercises with the athletes body weight introducing resistance work, and plyometrics for power output. Light resistance and controlled movements are best for younger athletes initially and we maintain always an emphasis on the importance of proper technique and safety.
Athletes learn the importance of developing a Pre-Hab over Re-Hab mindset, and with the focus always on personal rather than comparative development, building their tool box to support healthy athletic development and a Pre-Hab rather Re-Hab training mindset.

ACTIV8TE offers a variety of Training options to support athletes of all levels build a balanced and healthy approach to their “training”, that is focused on teaching an understanding of the importance of PRE-HAB (preventative) training habits rather than RE-HAB (recovery). Training Smarter Not Harder.
Our Gym Training programs are designed to introduce athletes to Gym training activity, so that they learn how to train safely, so that it support & balance with team / other training activity, and optimize your (athletic) performance. A healthy training schedule incorporates a balance of skill development, aerobic/stamina, strength & conditioning, mobility training and importantly builds in scheduled REST. Overtraining is never encouraged.
Our youth development STRENGTH & CONDITIONING, training programs are designed to be accessible for (multi-sport) athletes of all levels, whether you are training for a specific sport - or looking to stay active. No prior experience is required.
The Strength & Conditioning program - are offered in a small group training environment - which ensures EVERY athlete is supported, and empowered to experience success within the GYM environment, irrespective of your sports focus or performance level.
SCHEDULE
Gym Programs are scheduled as seasonal “SERIES” recognizing that our youth are “busy” and their schedules, and needs vary through the year.
Booking a Series allows athlete to book as their schedules & needs arise. Athletes can book consecutive series as part of a maintenance & cross training athletic development plan - OR book a series at the appropriate time in their athletic season - for example “pre-season”.
We recognize that you athletes are busy and it is important to manage their training load, and ensure that they are training smarter.
SEASONAL SERIES - Typically 8-12 weeks
- WINTER (Jan-Mar)
- SPRING (Apr-Jun)
- SUMMER (Jul-Aug)
- FALL (Oct-Dec)
*Fall Series starts in October to allow team schedules to be fully resolved.
